fiona bryan, alexander technique
Fiona trained initially as a musician and has enjoyed a busy freelance career as a bassoonist for many years. She came into contact with the Alexander Technique in response to a car accident and, as is often the case, found it helped her in many areas of her life, most notably as a musician.
She successfully completed the 3 year full time training course and qualified in 2004 and since then has developed a busy private practice, helping many musicians and non-musicians, is the Alexander Teacher for the Dulwich Therapy Rooms and works as part of the Music Department at Oundle school.
She has also given workshops and lessons for a variety people including the Royal Academy of Music, the Junior Royal Academy of Music, the National Youth Orchestra, the Nottinghamshire Youth Orchestra and the Stamford International Festival.
She believes the Technique has something powerful and fundamental to offer musicians of all types, ages and experience, in order that they reach their true potential and create the music they are inspired to, for as long as they are inspired for.
