Edward Dick, Director

Edward Dick trained as an assistant director with Cheek by Jowl. In 2007 he directed A Midsummer Night's Dream for the Sydney Theatre Company and a hugely successful tour of Romeo and Juliet for Shakespeare's Globe. Edward was also behind the critically acclaimed production of 'Tis Pity She's A Whore at the Southwark Playhouse.  He has also directed at The Liverpool Playhouse and Everyman, at The Bush and for Prague's National Theatre. Edward teaches acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors' Lab in New York City.
 

He has directed Britten's The Rape of Lucretia for Aldeburgh Music, and will direct  Heart of Darkness, a new opera by Tarik O'Regan and Tom Phillips for Opera Genesis at the Royal Opera House.


Edward is currently directing "The Fastest Clock in the Universe" at the Hampstead Theatre.
