David Rendall, Tenor
David Rendall studied at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. His career has taken him to the world's leading opera houses and concert halls, performing with Karajan, Bernstein, Levine, Barenboim, Mehta, Ozawa and many other leading conductors. David’s career has encompassed all the major Tenor roles in operas by Donizetti, Rossini, Mozart, Handel, Strauss and Verdi etc., and in recent years he has moved into heavier repertory, and recent engagements include Otello, Tristan, Gustavus III in Un Ballo in Maschera, Canio (I Pagliacci), Manrico (Il trovatore), Radames (Aida) and many more. He has also appeared with the Royal Ballet in Les Noces (Stravinsky) and Das Lied von der Erde (Mahler) in Darcy Bussell’s farewell performances at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. His career has spanned more than 40 years on the professional stage.
David now teaches and coaches privately in addition to his public appearances.
