Anna Maria Panzarella, Soprano

Anna Maria  Panzarella  was born in Grenoble, France, of Italian parents. She studied at the Conservatoire Superieur de Musique de Geneve , at the Royal College of Music, London and completed her training at the National Opera Studio in London.

Anna Maria Panzarella made her professional debut in 1993 at the Grand Theatre de Geneve. Since then she has appeared at opera houses such as Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Los Angeles Opera,  Seattle Opera, Opera National de Paris, Theatre du Chatelet Paris, Theatre des Champs-Elysees Paris, Opera National de Bordeaux, Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, Opera de Nancy, Opera de Lyon, Theatre de La Monnaie Brussels, Opernhaus Zurich, Opera de Lausanne, Drottningholm Court Theatre in Stockholm and Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam. Anna Maria Panzarella is also a much sought after concert  singer and has appeared at many of the world’s leading festivals and concert halls.

She has worked with conductors such as Gary Bertini, Ivor Bolton,  Frederic Chaslin, William Christie, James Conlon, Alan Curtis, Jonathan Darlington, Emmanuelle Haom, Bernard Haitink, Armin Jordan , Sir Charles Mackerras, Antonio Pappano, Evelino Pido, Christophe Rousset, Jean-Christophe Spinosi and Marcello Viotti.

Her repertoire includes Susanna in LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, Pamina in DIE ZAUBERFLUTE, Donna Elvira and Zerlina in DON GIOVANNI, Servilia in LA CLEMENZA DI TITO, Despina in COSI FAN TUTTE, Elisetta in Cimarosa’s IL MATRIMONIO SEGRETO, Lauretta in GIANNI SCHICCHI, Nannetta in FALSTAFF, Achille in Handel’s DEIDAMIA, Ismene in Traetta’s ANTIGONA, Comtesse Adele in Rossini’s LE COMTE ORY, Stephano in ROMEO ET JULIETTE, Micaela in CARMEN, Sophie in Massenet’s WERTHER, Angelique in Lully’s ROLAND, Alphise in Rameau’s LES BOREADES, Emilie in Rameau’s LES INDES GALANTES, Telaore in Rameau’s CASTOR ET POLLUX, and Drusilla in Monteverdi’s L’INCORONAZIONE DI POPPEA.
