the 2015 summer development programme
A fully integrated, comprehensive, four-week Opera course consisting of Training and Performances for Singers, Conductors, Directors, Reptiteurs, Technicians.
Designed for aspiring artists of any age or stage who wish to follow a career in opera.
The 2015 Summer Development Programme is Co-Opera Co's sixth year of hosting a four-week training programme for young artists, packed with advice and training to help all participants improve their performance and career management skills.
This year, our production of Peter Grimes is headed by international tenor John Graham-Hall in the title role. John will be on hand as mentor over the four weeks, offering invaluable expertise on stage, which will be interlinked with various clearly defined training sessions and masterclasses led by members of our Associate Artist pool of artists and advisors, providing a rounded and truly theatrical experience for all.
John Graham-Hall will be joined by Mezzo Soprano Nuala Willis, Baritone John Rawnsley and Soprano Kate Flowers as mentors throughout the four weeks.
Additional components will include:
- A mentor scheme for each participant to monitor progress and offer continual support
- A dedicated ensemble programme designed specifically for singers who are still in training or about to start training
